Yuki Anai & Hideaki Takahashi

enérgeia - across the boundary -

Japanese media artist Yuki Anai uses light and sound with and by means of sensory technology. His installations are predominantly inspired by nature. He sees elements such as the sea or rain as messages whose meaning he decodes in his works. His projects have been given the Asia Digital Award, the Best Award of Smart Illumination, and an invited exhibition at the Ars Electronica Festival.

Hideaki Takahashi is a sound artist.

 

Rob Montenegro

Roberto Montenegro is a queer Los Angeles born, NYC based digital artist who uses video as his medium. Starting his career as an aerospace engineer for the US government, Roberto now creates and animates original video content specifically designed to inspire and awe audiences for live events and concerts. His expertise ranges from 2D and 3D animation and visualization, stage design, and creative direction in multimedia. For the past 15 years Roberto has worked all over the world on shows for Gay Pride New York, Art Basel, and Ultra Music Festival. He has been the creative director for The Pines Party for the past seven years. Roberto cofounded the Free Radical Design Group with his partner, Guy J Smith.

Ekemini Nkanta is a creative technologist from NYC making immersive experiences with light, sensors & code. Inspired by fantasy illustrations and hidden gems in nature, she brings playful, surreal concepts to life that invite audiences to move, touch and explore to their heart's content. Her work is actively expanding into projection mapping, interactive installations, and augmented reality experiments. She holds a Bachelors in Emerging Media Technology from CUNY NYC College of Technology, and exhibited her work for the first time in Illumination 2023.

 
 
 

Mamadou Diallo

Mamadou Diallo is a game developer from NYC whose simple joys in life come from taking pieces of his mind and bringing them to reality. From writing to drawing to programming (and everything in between), he finds a way to dabble in it. His most recent areas of focus have been in Virtual Reality on the Meta Quest and Physical Computing projects with Arduino.

 

Tyler Schrader

Cosmic Portal

Tyler Schrader is an artist and designer based in the Adirondack Mountains of New York. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Drawing and Painting from SUNY Purchase College. Tyler transitioned into sculpture and design, embracing woodworking as his primary medium for the last decade. Inspired by the tactile and visual qualities of wood, he employs techniques such as intarsia, steam bending/lamination, lathe work, and carving to create intricate, organic forms. His work spans furniture, lighting, sculpture, and large scale installations that aim to foster a deeper connection between humans and nature.

 
 

Yinglian Liu

Echo Shadows

Yinglian is a lighting technician, an aspiring lighting designer, lighting artist, and a creative technologist. She was born and raised in China and am now based in New York City. Yinglian graduated from the New York City College of Technology with a Bachelor of Technology in Entertainment Technology in May 2023. Her studies were rooted in stage lighting and show control systems, but also ventured into the fascinating world of physical computing. Yinglian creates live audiovisual performance systems, and interactive or reactive toys using lights, sound, and sensors. She is exploring how to use my skill set in lighting and creative coding tools to design innovative light installations, applying them across stages and public spaces.

 
 
 

Jason Peters

Born in the United States in 1977, Jason Peters was raised in Munich, Germany. Peters moved with his family to New Mexico in 1995 before attending the Maryland Institute, College of Art, Baltimore, where he earned his BFA (cum laude) in 1999. 

Now based in Brooklyn, Peters’s installations have been featured in numerous Solo Shows, including Diner, Brooklyn NY (2023), Proposals For All, Newskowin, OR (2023), Franconia Sculpture Park, MN (2020), Carved Space, (The Musuem of Archiecture Augsburg, Germany 2016), Plexus, (Dashboard, Atlanta, Georgia 2014), Less Than More Than (Grounds for Sculpture, Hamilton, NJ, 2013), L.A. Deluxe (Robert Berman Gallery, Los Angeles, CA, 2012), Reverse Polarities (Project Room, Katonah Museum of Art, Katonah, NY, 2011) and many others.

 
 

Joe Petrowski

Joe Petrowski is a creative designer who specializes in imaginative lighting design. Joe can be found creating memorable moments for thousands of spectators through dazzling and spectacular lighting displays and installations or creating visual elements at a nightclub. Joe has collaborated with various musical artists and production companies creating unique entertainment experiences. Credits include Art Bath, The Q, Laissez Faire, Mission Nightclub, Hearsay, Knockdown Center, New York City Gay Men’s Chorus, Macy’s Santaland, Mckittrick Hotel & Insomniac, and Walt Disney World.

 
 

Whitt Sellers

CIRCUIT SOLARIUM

Whitt Sellers is an XR Developer, Creative Technologist, Visual Artist and Fire Performer living in NYC exploring novel forms of creative expression and play at the intersection of immersive technology and live performance. He earned his MFA in Design & Technology from Parsons School of Design in May 2022 and he creates experiences using real-time rendering engines, XR and volumetric capture hardware, and his dragon staff.

 
 

Jon Cohen

CIRCUIT SOLARIUM

Jon Cohen is a cross-disciplinary technologist, musician, and interaction designer working in climate tech and interactive installation art. He has given talks at international software conferences and performed alongside artists such as Sean Jones and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. His goals lie in using current social mechanisms to ease peoples' relationships with themselves and the planet in order to be a part of building a more socially, spiritually, and physically maintainable culture.

CONSCIOUS CONSTELLATIONS

Palm Springs-based performance artist Everette Solomon aka JEVPIC has been creating art in any medium possible to get the concepts of Empathy, Forgiveness, Self Love, the importance of Mental Health & the power of imagination into the minds of the masses. He creates public art like The Fault Line Meditation, sings, acts, produces fine art photography series, cooks & hosts creative dinner parties, paints, and writes plays & essays. He has been quoted saying that he has been so lucky to have been ignored & so harshly disciplined his entire life because it has led to him finding a way to get the message of hope out in as many artistic disciplines as possible until it's hard to ignore.

 
 

Aidan Lincoln

INFINITE REFLECTIONS: WINDOW(S) & EVENT HORIZONS

Aidan Lincoln Fowler is a multi-disciplinary artist based out of Brooklyn, NY who uses a wide array of new media technology, digital fabrication tools, and machine learning to create light sculptures, illusions, generative art, neural network art. Generally, he creates physical sculptures that look like renders and renders that look like real-world artifacts. Recently, Aidan has been developing his video infinity mirror series: Infinite Reflections (the first video infinity mirrors) and has shown them across the country including, along with multiple other works, in the Telfair Museum in Savannah Georgia- Beyond: Light, Color, and Illusion. He has also recently shown Infinite Reflections and other works in Currents New Media Festival in Santa Fe, Myta Sayo Gallery In Toronto, and Hot Bed Gallery in Philadelphia. Aidan finished his post-doc residency at NYU TISCH School Of The Arts Interactive Telecommunication Program in 2022 where he also completed his MPS in 2021. He has previously completed degrees in Computer Science (MS) and Electrical and Computer Engineering (BSx2) at Johns Hopkins University.

 

Youngmin Choi

EVENT HORIZONS

Youngmin Choi is a South Korean born, Brooklyn based, multi-disciplinary artist who works with visual coding, 3D renders, and digital fabrication to create interactive experiences. The artist’s works incorporate her background as an architect, using spatial elements and physical experience which expand and augment viewers perception of their surroundings. She has shown works at Currents New Media Festival in Santa Fe, Illumination Festival, and the Telfair Museum in Savannah. Youngmin holds M.P.S. from NYU Tisch and B.Arch from University of Seoul.

 

Sofia Monzerratt

The i

Sofia Monzerratt is a Venezuelan artist and filmmaker based in NYC since 2015, her art installations sparkled after her debut in Burning Man with the immersive art installation called “Galactic Igloo”, her newest interactive art installation is "The i '' which has made appearances at a regional burn such as Love Burn, and in art events such as at the Bowery Electric, Moonoura's annual exhibition, etc. Sofia has backpacked over 30 countries and has won and been nominated for several awards and festivals, including the Cannes Film Festival in France, Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival, NYC Indie Film Festival, Indie Short Fest and many more. Her poetry work has been published by Eber & Wein and her photography and paintings have been featured in different magazines, photography books and has been exhibited in countries such as Italy, Germany, France, USA and Belgium.

Ksenia is a Visual Artist and Experiential Art Director based in Brooklyn, New York. She focuses on experiential design, art installation, visual art, multi-sensory immersive experiences. Her visual art is inspirational, futuristic and magical. Ksenia’s installations can be viewed at INTER_IAM immersive Museum, Ideal Glass Gallery in West Village, and coming soon at iMuseum: museum of Emotions located at American Dream Mall in NJ.

 

Melanie Armer

Sisyphus 2.0

Melanie is a bicoastal director specializing in devised performance, ensemble-driven work, and immersive large-scale events. She uses both classical and current techniques to create strong underpinnings for fresh, modern ideas. Melanie believes we create art because we are compelled to do so, and by doing so we foster the kind of creative thinking that can change the world. She is also a steel sculptor, a producer, and a production manager. Melanie makes audio dramas, and interesting jams (the sticky & non-musical kind), and I delight in a properly crafted Sazerac. She lives on eight acres just north of Manhattan with my partner, our Maine Coon Leo, and his pet dog Kasper.

 

Stephan Moore

Sisyphus 2.0

Stephan Moore is a sound artist, designer, composer, improviser, programmer, engineer, teacher, and curator based in Chicago. His creative work manifests as electronic studio compositions, improvisational outbursts, sound installations, scores for collaborative performances, algorithmic compositions, interactive art, and sound designs for unusual circumstances. Much of his work has been realized in collaborative projects, most notably with sound artist Scott Smallwood in their duo Evidence and with choreographer Yanira Castro in the collective a canary torsi. He was the music coordinator and touring sound engineer of the Merce Cunningham Dance Company (2004-10), and has worked with Pauline Oliveros, Anthony McCall, and Animal Collective, among many others. In 2019, he co-founded the Chicago Laboratory for Electro-Acoustic Theater to promote and encourage the creation of multichannel audio works. He is a Distinguished Professor of Instruction in the Sound Arts and Industries program at Northwestern University.

Aldo Aguilar

Sisyphus 2.0

Aldo is an artist, illustrator, designer, and fabricator driven by transformative internal change reflecting outwardly. They are focusing on creating reflective spaces that challenge participants' ideas of constructed environments. Through Aldo’s art and contributions, they look to inspire introspection on how our expectations and biases of the outerworld inform the inner. Currently, Aldo collaborates on Sisyphus 2.0 with Stephan Moore, led by Melaine Armer. The collaboration has refined Aldo’s ability to design lighting and electrical systems for interactive installations. Through the project's journey, Aldo has learned how to combine elements of lighting, audio, and sculpture collaboratively. The work embodies Aldo’s desires by altering participants' expectations of what a sculpture can be through interactivity and play. Aldo wants to see reflection, introspection, and transformation of the world and themself.

 

Tri Vo

Tri is a multimedia graphic designer based in New York City. His work consists of digital and print design across several functions: editorial, marketing, web, social, motion graphics, video, and immersive interactive experiences. Tri has worked with brands and publications such as A24, Teen Vogue, Mistr, Morning Brew, Mic, Instagram and A24.

 

Bob Bottle

Pepper Labeija’s Ghost

Bob Bottle is a digital artist and graphic designer. Born on Long Island, New York in 1995, he currently lives and works in New York City. He received a BFA from Pratt Institute in 2018. By means of saturated imagery and glossy 3D renderings, Bob Bottle’s work explores queer identity in the digital age. Since 2016, his artistic collaboration with nightlife legend Susanne Bartsch has resulted in his over-the-top visuals becoming synonymous with queer nightlife in New York City and worldwide. Other clients and collaborators of Bottle’s include The New Yorker, Vice, Steven Klein, Standard Hotels, Council of Fashion Designers of America, The McKittrick Hotel, Bebe Rexha, Amanda Lepore, Manila Luzon, Yvie Oddly, Alaska Thunderf*ck, Peppermint, Erasure, Ugg, Ultra Naté and Bette Midler's New York Restoration Project.

He has a keen eye for locating the specific creative core of a project and expressing that through thoughtful collaboration with the team.
