A free Festival of Light at Battery Park City in lower Manhattan, presented by Illumination NYC in partnership with NYC Parks.

Illumination NYC’s mission is to unite people of all ages through light-based installations and technological wonders. Illumination NYC aims to fill a void on the community cultural calendar by welcoming local artists and curating unique visual experiences to the neighboring public. In the spirit of Nuit Blanche and other successful night festivals, it intends to be appreciated after sundown.

In the darkest of times, we must always find the light. We're back again for year 3 of the Illumination Light Art Festival and we are looking for up and coming light artists to ignite the 2024 festival.

Whether you have a large-scale sculpture, a performance piece, or an intimate work to display - we want to support your vision. 

This is your opportunity to light up and inspire your community. 

Funding will be distributed to multiple works and our mission is to support both rising and established artists. 

The submission deadline is November 30, 2023 midnight.

IlluminationNYC is a 501(c)3 non-profit whose founders and producing partners include veterans of previous light and outdoor art festivals, with prolific experience in visual arts and public events. The combined producing team is made up of NYC-based artists, producers, technicians, and community relations professionals.
